I'm thinking of getting one as well, but I'm a little in the dark as how you are going to get 10-bit image data into this screen?
I mean: DVI is only 8-bit (ok it can be 10 bit, but that is not a standard). Plus, you can't set your video card in 10-bit mode.
So, will this only work with DisplayPort, or HDMI (which is only 4:2:2, right?)...
I haven't done my research, so if someone can fill me/us in? :)
Hey Shane, nice tip!
So, you said about using this monitor with the mxo.
What other monitors would you recommend for use with mxo, besides ACD? What specifications should i check to choose one?
Thanks,
Gustavo
Unsure about the 10-bit thing...but they must. This monitor was designed for the guys making KUNG FU PANDA....really kick ass computer monitor that gives you broadcast accurate color. I'll wager you might not even NEED the MXO for this.
Gustavo...I recommend the Dell 240x series with the MXO as well.
